Amy's Goose

I found this book while doing some organizing. I had completely forgotten it existed. I remember loving this book as a kid because the main character had the same name as me.

Check that off my Bucket List

I love to read, this will come as no surprise to any of you. One of my favorite books ever written is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It's one of the most beautiful books ever written. Markus doesn't do a lot of book events so I never thought I'd get to meet him and have him sign my book. Luckily I was wrong- I had the opportunity to meet him on Saturday night. It was an amazing night! .

Do Not Disturb

Rae was trying to finish The Book Thief last night while we were at the book signing so every free second she had while we were in line at the event was spent reading. She didn't finish but she got pretty far.

Delirium

About 2:00 this afternoon I sat down to read "just a couple" of chapters in this book. I really ought to know better than to do that when I have a to-do list. As you can guess nothing on the list got done but I did finish the book. It was fabulous!

Killing Time

Our power was out for about 5 and 1/2 hours tonight so I did what every normal girl would do. I went shopping. I went to DSW and Barnes & Noble. I bought a couple of books and sat in the cafe with a hazelnut steamer and a rice krispy treat and read. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening!

The Lost Saint

I went to a book signing today for Bree Despain's new book The Lost Saint, which is the sequel to The Dark Divine.  One of the marketing techniques that has been used with both of Bree's books is to give away nail polish that matched the color of the book. I love it!! Someone in the marketing department needs a gold star on their forehead for thinking of this.

Pages

I got a box full of books today, including Nightshade by Andrea Cremer. I was surprised how pretty the pages were. It's silly that cool pages made my day but it did. (I'm a complete book nerd.)
