I went to Salt Lake for a couple of meetings today. The hospital we went to is really close to the Cheesecake Factory so of course we stopped by. Yummmmm!

Chips & Salsa Heaven

My friend Rae and I went to the Sonora Grill tonight. Neither of us had ever eaten there before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew we had made a good choice when they brought us our chips and salsa. The green one was lime and cilantro yumminess. The red one was smoky and spicy fabulousness. For a chips and salsa addict it was heaven!!! (The rest of the meal was wonderful as well, I'll definitely be going back)

Care Package

I got a package from my Mom today. Before I opened it I assumed that it would have something Korean in it since that's where she is currently. I was wrong- she sent me a box full of my favorite German chocolates that she bought at the Commissary. I ♥ her!!

Chocolate Minty Goodness

Scrumptious!!

I made banana cake with cream cheese frosting for Rachel's baptism on Saturday. Luckily there was some left over so I was able to have some tonight- it was the perfect way to end this crazy, snowy Monday.

Amanda's parents came to visit from New Zealand. They brought me Crunchies. I am a very happy girl.

Sugar Rush

I was having a sugar craving this afternoon. I bought Bottle Caps- I forgot how sugary they are. Just a couple managed to kill my craving really quickly.

Spätzle

It's impossible to find good Spätzle here in the US. For Christmas a few years ago I got a press so now I just make my own. Tonight's batch is for tomorrow's dinner- ham, gruyère and spätzle casserole.

Killing Time

Our power was out for about 5 and 1/2 hours tonight so I did what every normal girl would do. I went shopping. I went to DSW and Barnes & Noble. I bought a couple of books and sat in the cafe with a hazelnut steamer and a rice krispy treat and read. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening!

Comfort Food

Today was not the best of Monday's. It required Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan bread and a chick flick (Easy A) to recover from it.

Mmm, Mmm, Good!

My friend Rae and I went to Tucano's Brazilian Grill for dinner. I had never eaten there- it was delicious!! The waiters bring around skewers with all kinds of roasted meat on them and just slice you off a piece. They brought filet mignon, ham, turkey, tri-tip, pork tenderloin, sausage and more. I was amazed at all the different kinds of meat they had. They also bring around pineapple that has been grilled with brown sugar. The pineapple was my favorite part of the meal- it was divine!!!

Spicy!

One of my friends on Twitter has been talking about how fabulous Chick-fil-A's new spicy chicken biscuit is so I finally stopped there this morning and got one. It was so yummy!!!

Warmth

My mom lives in a small town about 4 hours south of me so I don't see her very often. She was in town for an appointment so I was able to have breakfast with her this morning. What better way to start your day than with great company and amazing hot cocoa?
