I got a package from my Mom today. Before I opened it I assumed that it would have something Korean in it since that's where she is currently. I was wrong- she sent me a box full of my favorite German chocolates that she bought at the Commissary. I ♥ her!!

My Denim Quilt

My cousins made this for me several years ago and I love it. They made it an American theme because they know what a patriotic sap I am. It's the perfect lap quilt and keeps me warm and snuggly in my cold apartment in the wintertime.

I hate Valentine's Day. Really, really hate it. Call me cynical, bitter or cold-hearted, they all apply. BUT this made me go awwwwww! when Erin (my niece) brought it to me tonight.

Warmth

My mom lives in a small town about 4 hours south of me so I don't see her very often. She was in town for an appointment so I was able to have breakfast with her this morning. What better way to start your day than with great company and amazing hot cocoa?
